Happy National Hot Tea Month! January marks the annual celebration of hot tea with National Hot Tea Day on January 12th

Here are some ideas in which you can celebrate National Hot Tea Month:

Hold a Tea Tasting Party

Invite some friends and family over and have a tea tasting party. Get some tea varieties ready like English Tea Store’s Pinhead Gunpowder Green Tea or Borengajulie Estate Tea and fire up the tea kettle! Set up a theme (National Hot Tea Month makes a perfect theme), decorate accordingly, and fill up those teapots. Guests can taste the tea and grade it according to their palate. Don’t forget to serve some nibbles like sandwiches, cakes, or scones.

Replace your Hot Coffee With Hot Tea

In addition to January being National Hot Tea Month, it’s also the New Year which means resolutions! Some people like to challenge themselves and either go without caffeine or drink tea in place of coffee. Change up your drink of choice for the month of January and try tea during your morning routine! Try yerba mate for an extra caffeine kick (less than coffee but more than a standard cup of tea) or ditch the caffeine and try herbal!

Or Celebrate In Your Own Way

You don’t even have to do anything special to celebrate National Hot Tea Month. You can celebrate it however you want whether it’s treating yourself to a new tea kettle, a new mug, or a new tea. Try something you’ve never tried before or create a challenge like trying teas from around the world like Japan, Kenya, or Sri Lanka.
